Pennsylvanians will now be automatically registered to vote when they receive ID cards and licenses at the DMV

Pennsylvania residents will automatically be registered to vote when they receive a driver's license or state ID at the DMV, Gov. Josh Shapiro announced on Tuesday. Automatic voter registration is available in 23 other states and the District of Columbia. Citizens can opt out of being registered to vote if so desired.
